Welcome to Silicon Gallery!
Since our inception in 1994 we have shown a wide and varied collection of art, from prints to sculptures and from quilts to films. We were the nation's (maybe the world's) first full time gallery showing digital art, which we define as "work created on or influenced by the computer."
Today, the use of the computer in artmaking is almost commonplace, but the innovative work we show at Silicon is anything but mundane. Our vision and focus have become more targeted since the early '90s and today we show only work printed at our collaborative, digital printmaking studio: Silicon Gallery Fine Art Prints.
We invite you to browse through the links at left to see some of the work we've shown in exhibits past and present and encourage you to stop by the gallery in person to see the current show.
We are located on North Third Street in historic Old City Philadelphia. On the First Friday of each month, join us for our opening receptions in conjunction with the First Friday celebrations throughout Old City.
