On Tuesday March the 2nd Silicon Gallery Fine Art Print's own Kaitlin Mosley and Katie Tackman juried the entries, and it was not easy. We had over  350 images which had to be whittled down to only 47 - to celebrate SPE's 47th anniversary.

To make things as fair as possible we brought all of the images into Adobe Lightroom and hid file names and metadata so the selection process was blind, Lightroom also made all of the images the same size.

Of the finals seven were selected to print at a larger size. On Thursday we started printing, the main selection at 12" x 18" and the larger ones at 20 x 30 (depending on the aspect ratio of the images). We used Innova Smooth White Cotton paper which is a 310 gsm100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish. This Innova paper has a beautiful finish and offers excellent value for money (Silicon Galllery Fine ARt Prints currently is offering a special discount on all Innova papers) We printed them on  our 64" wide Epson 11880 with our own custom paper profile.
